black people should keep their big noses it is natural for them to have a bigger nose..I dont see anything wrong with it!!.I dont like when somebody is trying erase their characteristic...(chinese ,japanese having operation for bigger eyes and less flat noses where is the world going?) the beauty of a people is in the difference ,black,white,yellow people are beautiful because they were just made that way from God..why to change it?..That man look just fine before the operation!!

Clearly his nose is too large for his face. He kept it wide but now it fits his face. If he clearly wanted to look anglo then he would have thinned the tip even further. So please it is not a trying to look like another race thing but rather to have your face more proportionate.

I agree with Rhi, Shellyna.  It would be my guess that this gentleman's sense of self esteem has improved dramatically, as he looks quite handsome with his altered nose.  Although the surgery is natural looking, his nose is now more proportionate to his face.  Shellyna, I believe that your comments were entirely insensitive.  The opinion of the individual contemplating surgery is the one that is important.  Who are  you to say that anyone, regardless of race, "SHOULD" keep his or her "BIG" nose.  Perhaps you "SHOULD" not dictate to others, as your less-than-diplomatic phraseology is extremely rude.  There are ways to express opinions without sounding indelicate or lowbred.

It is obvious to me that this man and his surgeon thought very carefully about what changes should be made to his nose.  I think a very good job was done in keeping the look of his nose within his racial characteristics, while proportioning the nose to fit better with his other features.  I agree that if it were any thinner, pointer, etc., he would start to look like he was trying to look "white", a mistake since all races are beautiful.  What the surgeon did was precise and natural looking.  Truly a work of art!

It's becoming more and more apparent to me that some surgeons are blessed with a good hand. It must be really gratifying to carry out such a subtle transformation - incredible what a couple of milimetres can make to the dimensions of a person's face! Look at how his eyes are brought out by the change. I'm fascinated by people's faces, and the life and character you see being brought out from a face which before might have been obscured by just one feature. A good surgeon is, as you say, an artist.

This man now has a more European-looking nose shape.  However, as in many black people, the scar tissue is going to be permanently visible (see on either side of his bridge).  Black patients should be warned of the risk of uncontrolled scar formation called keloids the appearance of which can more than nullify any "esthetic improvement" of surgery.

You are all idiots.....the way you are created is beautiful....any modification makes you a STOOPID freek.......And yes everyone on here (aside from those who have medical reasons...i.e. breast cancer ...too large breasts causing back pain etc..).....Have NO RIGHT....to change their BEAUTIFUL....NATURAL.....GOD GIVEN...look....PERIOD!!!!!

We have every right to. It's not your body, why should you care? What ever someone else decides to do with their body is none of your business. If these people were not self-concious, they wouldn't bother getting surgery, but they are and there is nothing wrong with that. Some people are more bothered by their appearence and realize what's strange looking, than others do.  So do not say what we should and should not do to OUR own bodies, especially if it does not harm any one else and gives us confidence in the process.

Somethings not right about those two pictures, namely the 'after'. 1st off the bigger mole near his nose has switched sides(rt on the before/lft on the after), also his face looks more blue in the after shot although his nose is the exact same color as the before. Personally I like the before nose cause it gives him a Isaac Hayes-ish (rip) look, granted its big its still refined and he's smile seems more genuine, where as the other pic's smile looks sly and sort of snobbish.
